Yesterday we were lucky enough to be invited to Radio 1 where as well as scoffing a load of pastries we spoke to the very gorgeous Greg James about the launch of the Radio 1 Teen Awards.
If you're not sure what the Teen Awards are (have you been living under one of Lady Gaga's hats?!) it's a star-studded live event celebrating the achievements of your favourite pop stars, celebrities and real life teenagers. This year's event is set to be even bigger than last year's as the awards move to their new home at London's Wembley Arena on Sunday 9 October. Pixie Lott has been confirmed to headline the show, but we asked Greg to tell us what the event is all about!
"It's a great opportunity to celebrate young people and its important for teenagers to have someone inspirational to look up to, whether its a teacher or someone in the public eye. The idea of the Teen Awards is to celebrate the strength of young people and their ability to bounce back from devastating things."
