Lady Gaga has defended Kristen Stewart cheating on Robert Pattinson

We're having a morning of mourning, over the tragedy that is Kristen Stewart cheating on Robert Pattinson with the married director of Snow White and the Huntsman. Sob sob sob. And it seems Lady Gaga is feeling exactly the same. 

She weighed in on Twitter last night, telling people to leave them alone.

She tweeted: "Geez this kirstew rob stuff is brutal. Makes me sad the way press acts. Hope they're ok (sic)."

Geez? Since when is Lady Gaga a cockney man? Anyway, it's nice to see that she cares. And that she's good at making up nicknames. Kirstew is good. (We weren't even aware they were friends?).

Kristen's statement yesterday read: "I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardised the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry."

Sources close to the actress insist she wasn't having an affair with Rupert and it was a fleeting mistake.

An insider said: "Kristen is absolutely devastated. It was a mistake and a complete lapse in judgment."

We hope they can work through it. Because we love them both. And because otherwise the Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2 premieres could be preeetttyyy awkward.
