Lawson have announced their second single - 'Taking Over Me' - and it's amazing.

After smashing up the charts by reaching number four with their debut single, the lovely Lawson lads have announced that their second one will be Taking Over Me, and it'll be released on July 29th. So whack that in your musical diaries right now. (We don't even know if 'musical diaries' exist, but you get what we mean).

Despite what some of you may think, Andy Brown is not just there to sing, look pretty and have ridiculously good hair - he's also an emotional, song-writing genius. About the song he said:

"Taking Over Me was one of the last songs we wrote for the album and it came out of a jamming session I was having one day in LA with our producer John Shanks. It's an uplifting song about those first moments of a relationship and it's a song which I hope will go down great at all of the festivals we are set to play over the Summer.

The vast majority of the songs on the album are about heartbreak, and which I wrote after my relationship ended but I felt it was important that we had a song on there about the good times as well as the sad. Taking Over Me is that song."

Wow. Deep.

If you're heading to T4 on the Beach, Hard Rock Calling or T In The Park, make sure you catch Lawson there. And until then, make sure you check out the track below.
